Inside it was toasty warm. I made some memorable meals on our two burner
with grill 'cooker' and occasionally using the gas barbecue in the awning.
Outside it was everything, wet and muddy mostly but icy sometimes and
snow-white at Christmas. The sky was either lowering grey or brilliant blue
during the day, with occasional beautiful pink clouds in turquoise skies. At
night it was either dark grey or gloriously moonlit with bright stars with
occasional shooting stars. Magic.
Also overhead were many red kits and buzzards, nearer the gound a wren and -
oh joy - a goldcrest among the brambles next to our window. I thought it was
a butterfly at first.
Cattle lowing in the barn, a cockerel who lives with the ducks and who crows
all night, lots of hens, turkeys, goats gave an aural dimension to the two
weeks.
But bloody cats ... grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
> welcome back we missed ya
Thank you. I missed you all too. I had a brief deja at a service station on
the way back, otherwise no incidents.
But there's been a sobering incident affecting the world which means that it
wasn't the happiest time ever :-(
And there's so much to do now we're back ... Must go back to the kitchen!
