Did it again

I felt like putting in lord of the rings dvd, it was night time, and I like
the theatre atmosphere of no other lights on, so only the TV and no lamp.
Either during the last part or soon after it was done, thats when the
fuzzyness started and had a hard time reading anything... again. Grrr. I
knew better, or a least suspected enough that this causes a problem that I
shouldnt have done that.

Anyone with silly string go ahead and have at it until I look like a
baseball without the cover :P

*shakes head in shame* ;o)

There are new light bulbs in Canada, that fit a normal light socket but
have a spiral 'neon' like 4 loop twist. *I bought them because out electric
bills are rising, and these put out same light e.g. as 100Watt bulbs with 23
Watts use.  They don't have a refresh or flicker problem like some older
Neon tubes (above) and cost about 3x the cost of Tungsten Bulbs. This 3 pack
made by Globe (here) says the 3 will save $231. in energy costs and last
10000 (10 thousand) hours each.
Would Those work for you Behind you?  (There are 2 sizes proportionately
lower than produce light of 60 and 40 Watts equivalent.    Some of your
symptoms might be from the 'refresh rate' ? of your TV (slower than a CRT)
or the special effects on whatever you're watching triggering
photosensitivity ??   You can't change the Refresh of the TV (60 hertz in
Canada for example),  but some amount of background might help?
   I just wondered.   G./
(If you want the Theatre atmosphere don't you have to put Chewing gum and
spilled popcorn on the Floors ?  :-<  )

yup its probably the redraw rate of the TV. but im just waiting till the
plasma ones (HDTV or otherwise) come down in price and it wont be an
issue anymore... or just put up with the light, which is a lot cheaper.

oh, and cant forget the spilled softdrinks that stick to my feet :P
