Hi,
Yes. I was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy. I've had what I thought were
"panic attacks" for several years, mostly since the teen years, but it turns
out they have been various types of seizures - from grand mals to petit mals
and the subcategories within, given that everyone's seizures tend to be a
little different (so say the docs) - anyway, and it all hit me when my
"seizure threshhold" was extremely lowered due to multiple factors and I was
going through 4 hours of it without a hospital ER visit (I was with a friend
at the time). I don't remember it other than the beginning and waking up the
next morning. My friend explained it to me, their mom's a nurse and said it
sounds like seizures. So I went in, EEG and MRI, and the neurologist said
that's what it is. Temporal lobe epilepsy, my left temporal lobe. I'm
researched this stuff but only know so much at present. I hope to learn
more.
Thanks for the interest,
Sean

If you have trouble finding much on searches under Temporal Lobe
Seizures, try also Complex Partial Seizures (the newer term used in some
countries), then you can compare symptoms or descriptions to see if articles
are of any interest to you. That makes about 7-8 of us now. .... G./
