Thank you in advance for any information you may have on this subject.

Going from 300 mg to zero, dropping 100mg every 6 weeks.

I'm experiencing episodes of depression and wondering if the
withdrawal has anything to do with it.

Not looking for medical advice, just any experiences or references you
may have.

Constant depression is all part of this epilepsy & AED scenario for me and
I expreience it all the time to one degree or another. I've recently
switched from Phenobarbital to Dilantin to go along with the Neurontin.
The dosage had been 400 mg, but that was causing balance problems. So just
a few days ago, I dropped that 100mg you talk about to go from 400mg to
300mg. I haven't noticed any particular increase in depression as a
consequence.

Thank you, Bob

I should have added, when I began the thread, that my seizures were
the result of a brain abscess, and not epilepsy.  After 3 years, the
EEG's are finally saying I don't need any anti-seizure medication at
all, and that's the reason for my withdrawal.
