Hi, Everyone:

My neurologist said that she thinks I am having absense seizures and
believes that my language disability (my learning disability is in the
language part of my brain) is related to this problem.

EEG next week.

Return visit to neurologist in 2, then the diagnosis.

I feel better than I though I would because she said there IS medication
to make this go away.

Hey, Karen, glad you are getting some answers and fairly quickly, which is
unusual.  We are really lucky to live today instead of 50 years ago when
there were fewer meds available and none of this fancy brain imaging stuff
around.

Looks like you are getting officially closer to joining the ranks here on a
permanent basis.  There are a bunch of good people in this newsgroup.

Barb - Thank you for making me feel welcome. This is the ONLY place I've
found that I can ask questions and just be myself with regards to this
whole thing.

At first I was scared, but I think it was just because I'm not educated
enough about epilepsy, but I'm realizing that I'm not changing except
for the better. . .

I'm not so worried about the driving thing either anymore. . . if and
when my license is taken away I'll just deal with it then.
