Just my opinion but I would have said not.  I would think that it
could be risky.

If you are considering that course of action, I'd recommend very
strongly you discuss it with your GP or alternatively the Epilepsy
Association (www.epilepsy.org.uk or www.epilepsyscotland.org.uk)

Howdy!

I haven't!

What exactly do you mean by "Help an epileptic?"

If you mean seizure reduction, hypnotism isn't going to work in my case. All
the hypnotism in the world isn't going to remove my multiple brain lesions
and the big gaping canyon in my left hemisphere caused by multiple strokes.

If, on the other hand, you are talking about issues such as self esteem and
depression RESULTING from epilepsy that's something that some folks might
want to look into!

Thanks for the pointers:
I was kind of looking at it from 3 sides 1 to help reduce the amount of
medications I am on some way 2 to over come my fear(s) of water ( my
epilepcy was caused by a near droweding from a surfing acident and 3 keep
my spirits up when I seam to get depresed.  Several years ago I got to go
to LA medical reserch to figure out if surgery ( this is before lasers etc.
) any way after the month of testing they said I have em from the front and
from the left side and if I only had it from one place I might have a 50/50
chance of coming out "normal" ... so I said I would stay on my meds thanks,
but as I said that was a long time ago!
