I went with my daughter to see my grandkids a few weeks ago. When we
got to the airport to go back home, right at the front door I grabbed
my son and told him I was going to have a seizure (Thank God I didn't
have it in the airport or at my layover)Anyway, an ambulance was
called even though my son argued with them that I just needed to go
back to his house. I was given medication to bring me out of the
seizure (can't remember what it was). I was sick as a dog the rest of
that day and the next (probably from the meds). My neck was killing
me. Since then, I really have not felt like myself. That's not
usual for me. One or two days tops and Im feeling like myself.
Memory is worse than it was. Feel groggy all the time. Feel like Im
in a fog. Anyone ever have this happen.

First, thanks for your response to my SSI and memory loss post I put in!
It's just strange that the one arm of the government says "ok we spent
your money and saw paperwork" ya are disabled but yet the left arm says
"well we gotta spend more of your money to see????? No wonder taxes are
so high!!!!!!!
Now this is what happened to me Mary (my mother's name, wear it
proudly!)in my last seizure. I was at my daughter's home standing at her
stove in the middle of the afternoon and the next thing I knew I woke up
with needles in my arms at the hospital. My daughter had called the
emergency squad because I had had a major seizure in front of my
grandson. I was blacked out for the entire time from when I passed out
at her home till I got to the hospital. Must have been over 45 minutes
or an hour (just guessing). After getting dressed to go home, I halfway
started collecting my thoughts and noticed that I couldn't speak
correctly (couldn't say the word "clock" no matter how hard I tried,
things like that), couldn't walk a straight line, couldn't even put one
foot in front of the other with my hands out straight without stumbling.
That sort of stuff. I stayed in a grogg for a lot of days, just sleeping
away and yes, my body was sore all over. My daughter says that she
thinks that I had a minor "Stroke" of some kind this time. I don't know.
This happened in may or june and ever since my speech had not been the
same. It has improved from the day I got out of the Hospita, but still
not normal and my mind has been more forgetful (probably was before, I
just forget!).A more important thing you might want to watch out for is
that I have been in a much more depressive mood since then. So maybe
watch out for depression to set in. I was given some kind of
anti-depressive but I still have major depressive mood swings at the
drop of a hat. I will get a higher dosage probably later this month more
than likely. I don't know if epilepsy could lead to a Stroke, but I
imagine it could. I can still close my eyes and be in the fog as you are
describing or be back in the hospital with my eyes closed right before I
come out of the trance. Just strange to explain......
(Ya might not have the book yet but here goes another couple of pages :) )

Howdy Mary!
Sounds like maybe what they gave you has a VERY long half life and it's
taking a while for your system to flush it out!
