Iron from animal sources tends to ACCUMULATE

Plant irons are most beneficial to the body because their absorption remains
safely regulated, whereas iron from animal sources tends to accumulate to
levels which increase free radical activity contributing to heart disease,
cancer, and the aging process.

No debate wanted or rebuttal needed, I see validity in what is pointed
out.  These things are just what comes to my mind:

Anti-oxidants are something most people do not consider about the
aging process, but I make sure I eat and drink things that contain
plenty of them.

Cancer in my hometown is about the most concentrated region in the
state that occurs.  It mostly comes from nearly 800 types of
pollutants in the city water (duh, I don't drink it).

God told someone in a dream to kill and eat some animals to prove a
point about impurities, I believe it was Peter. I don't know if Jesus
was a vegetarian, but he told Peter to fish and he caught them, and
also multiplied fish and bread for a multitude of people. I
inexcusibly don't have scriptures to quote, but I believe they are in
the Bible.

Why does man have an appendix?  I was told a while back it was to aid
in the digestion of raw meat. Is this true?  There has never been
another explanation to me in the past and I was told for a long time
the purpose of the appendix was not known. I had an appendectomy 35
years ago.  I get the runs every time I eat a medium-rare steak.
Something I think about, every time I order it medium-well now.

I just kid about the age-old question:  "If we are not supposed to eat
animals, why are they made of meat?"

I think there's only one form of 'Fe' if you mean Pure Iron (vs. Chemical
Compounds which contain iron -- ferric oxide etc. ).   What the article
might have implied (for the vegetarians),  was that a level of X in a Plant
will remain roughly at that level, based on how much is in the Soil or
Environment **around the plant, before it's harvested, in a limited amount
of time (6 months).
   However, within the 'Carnivore' Food-chain, some of the metals and
vitamins might become more concentrated as various animals consume others
'up the chain'.   So some vitamins or minerals might increase
proportionately (become concentrated) 'up the ladder'.

 They're having problems in some areas with e.g. mercury in fish or other
non-food pollutants.

 There was also a problem off the East Coast, where Foreign ships were
dumping their (polluted) Bilge Water as they approached shore on East of
U.S. and Canada about 4-6 years ago.  The Zebra Mussels and other Organisms
that had no natural predators *here, then messed up the 3000 years' old Food
Chains that were in-place.

  One or all of those was close to New Jersey and more likely a source of
the Author's Paper quoted above, although I have no idea what those would
have to do with the Aging Process or Heart Conditions.

  But then, I'm not a Doctor.   I just come here for the Chocolate and
Strawberries.    :->   .(I put the **s and ??s above, line 3 and 4, since
that part of the quote sounded incorrect.)

  I still don't see what any of the earlier post (or mine) might have to do
with Epilepsy, unless they were implying that Some types of seizures might
be aggravated by higher levels of Iron or Pollutants ??
   Mine was caused by Damage to Right Temporal Lobe caused by Encephalitis
I had in 1979.     /G.

Animal model of epilepsy is .. CREATED .. by .. addition of .. iron .. into the
brain ..
