Did anyone else hear this play on Radio 4 yesterday afternoon (Monday2
August)?

By Mike Peck
When Mikey is taken ill, both he and his wife are shocked when the diagnosis
is a brain tumour. This comic drama documentary, is an autobiographical
account of how Mike Peck has learnt to live with and deal with his brain
tumour, a malevolent character he calls Mac.
With Chris MacDonnell, Melanie Hudson, and Bill Wallis.

I was fascinated by it because it brought back so many memories of my own
condition eleven years ago - although Mikey's tumour has recurred.

It's a true story, Mikey is currently waiting for the results of
chemotherapy. I want to know what happens ...

No, you should have told us it was on.
It reminds me of how Nevil and I came to an arrangement.

Sorry, I had no idea it was going to be on. We were travelling home from
Gloucestershire and listened to the Archers repeat, the play followed.

You can listen again ...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/arts/afternoonplay.shtml and hit 'listen again'.

Good :-)

I never had a Mac or a Nevil but there were so many other similarities. We
were discussing it over dinner last night and Spouse said that it brought
back memories for him too.

We're very lucky!

What I meant by that is that I didn't give my tumour a name. In truth, it
was found by a scan on a Friday and removed the following Tuesday so there
wasn't time to develop a relationship with it :-)
