Well the finally got my daughter an appt for aug 23--they said that there
was a cancellation, otherwise we;d have to wait till december.  They said it
didn't sound like immediately life threatening problem so they will just see
her at their convenience.  I wanted to cry!  she has these spells 3 or 4
times a day, and often sleeps from 3 or 4 in the afternoon until late
morning the following day--that CAN'T be good!?  Is this how it always is?

I am soo sorry you have to wait so long. How old is your daughter? I know the
frustration of having to wait. I will send a prayer up for her right now.

If you're talking about the sleep length, I'm not real sure what is normal with
epilepsy (I don't think there really is such a thing anyway).  One thing to
remember though is that a normal sleep stage may be disrupted if she has
seizures during her sleep.  In my experience, you can wake up as tired or more
so than when you went to bed the night before if there are nocturnal seizures
(nocturnal seizures also happen during the day if you nap).  Has she been tested
for diabetes?

she has had regular bloodwork, which includes glucose levels, but not
necessarily fasting or glucose tolerance test.  She would have to be sedated
to take a glucose tolerance test as she is extremely phobic of needles.  I
was assuming that the excessive fatigue thing was possibly some sort of
post-ictal thing--is that not a likely possibility?
