I heard this on the news here in the U.S. tonight. I had to hunt for
the topic, but found it on abc website.

They were discussing this device for depression and when they showed how
it worked I thought to myself that looks like the VNS. When they showed
the image of the device, sure enough that was it. Interesting to me was
that they acted like this was a totally new device and never even
mentioned that it has been used for people with epilepsy. They only
said that patients with depression were being helped.

I saw a news item on CNN? about 3 weeks ago where something similar was
being tried in California? for either Stroke or Heart Patients, who had
erratic blood flow or similar. The 'electric pacemaker' thing balanced the
blood pressure or kept the blood flow more even for the patient. (I'll
look at above site tomorrow to see if it's the same or similar. It's *140AM
here !! :-> ) G./
Glad you're back. We were losing our 'quorum' for a while (too long) .

Howdy Dave, I figured they must have been testing it for this purpose. The
patients they interviewed were very pleased with the results.
Take care,
Julie
