Hello Renee,

Check this website:
http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/seizure_medicines.html

Per medicine, you can view the "common side effects". For example
carbamazepine does not seem to have weight gain as a common side effect:
http://www.epilepsy.com/medications/b_carbamazepine_side.html

My experience is that the only way to somehow control your weight gain, is
by looking at what you daily food consumption is, avoiding the word "too"
(too much / too less in relation to food), start moving around for one half
a hour per day (sporting may be a better word as a description but moving
might be OK as well).

Hopefully that works out for you.

Take care.

Bye,
Marco
