i know it's not a big deal to most of you, but when you are used to
having at least 1 seizure a day for months on end, it's cause for
celebration for me. i've been on my meds for 3 weeks now. felt  like
total crap and still had seizures for all but the last 4 days. could i
be just now getting used to the meds and they're really working? i'm
scared to hope. doc increased my effexor xr so i'm not as depressed.
it's been so long since i felt this well, i just had to share.

To hope is a wonderful thing Jacki.

I'm really happy for you :)

had an absence seizure at work i was told. it was ok, i got my wits back
fairly quickly. i should have expected it but i'm very disappointed. i
really hoped the med was working. at least it controlled them for
awhile. i'm so impatient, i know.

An absence seizure is just a Simple Partial on most websites- how does
that compare to the ones you were having before?   It wasn't a FULL C.P. or
Gran Mal seizure, it was just an Aura.

I used to Work with people how might as WELL have been in an Absence
seizure -- they were at their Desks, but there was 'no one at home'...  and
They didn't have any history of using Anti Ep Meds.  ...

If you have that link to Idaho First Aid for Seizures page (or someone can
post it here if you didn't get it before), it lists *FirstAid for Simple
Partials as well as the other types.    There are Good ways and Bad ways to
bring someone out (even out of a S.P. seizure), and if they don't know the
right way, your return can take longer than the 5-10 minutes some of us were
able to do to recover. I think they basically leave you alone and don't
Startle you, so that you come out without a crowd standing around you.
