Yesterday morning I had another CP. Last thing I remember I was making my
tea in the kitchen, then I came to in the bathroom upstairs (sitting on the
toilet). Somewhere along the way I had bashed the back of my head and my
knees, no idea how that happened. All day I was in a daze with a slight
headache. I went to lie down on the couch and woke up with my head pounding,
strange because sleep usually makes a headache go away. I must have had
another episode while I was lying down.
I think it was caused by something stupid I did the day before: ate a tuna
salad sandwich at a friend's house. I always *ask* if there's MSG in the
food, but people are not always aware of what's in the ingredients they use.
I didn't insist on checking all the labels as I should have done. So now
I've paid the price for being too polite... :(
That's the second time that's happened while making my morning tea. I'm very
lucky not to have scalded myself with boiling water! It seems that during a
CP I'm conscious enough to pour tea, cross streets, etc. without hurting
myself - yet I have mysterious bumps and bruises...
Oh well, glad to say I'm feeling pretty normal today.
Happy Easter everyone!

Drat!!  I think I just set some discards to get rid of the 'Spy Cam' Trolls.
If there's no one else around, might you be having some 'absences'  that
you're not aware of?
(I used to get mystery bumps, or find half-made sandwiches etc. before I
was 'controlled'.)   The creepiest were finding Handwriting or Pictures that
I didn't remember doing.   Unfortunately they weren't Rembrandt or J.Rune
quality, just nonsense stuff.   Just enough to show I might be having
absences or Simple Partials when I had thought I finally had reached 100%
control.

Do yours Only happen with msg? or might there be other things that might
taste or smell the same as any Auras you get too?  (My aura is lemon taste
or aroma, so Lemon Pie, drinks, floor cleaners (aroma) can give me an aura
similar to what I once got ahead of a full C.P. type seizure.)
But the 'ghost writing'  (that I had done while 'away') were the scariest
for me, since there's usually no one around during the day weekdays...  / G.

I wonder if anyone (government agency) is tracking all of the people who get ill
from MSG.  When I think of how long it took me to figure it out - it makes me
mad.  It wasn't a doctor who said - maybe you are eating something with MSG.  We
figured it out ourselves.  Then we started looking at labels.  Are you all aware
of how much packaged food contains monosodium glutimate?  I can't even enjoy a
salad at a resturant without asking for a dressing with no MSG.  Forget eating
soup at a resturant, unless they made it totally from scratch, it probably has
MSG.

Take care,
Julie

We also had to figure it out for ourselves and it took 2 or 3 years. No
doctor has ever suggested it to me, and none of them seem to take it very
seriously when I mention it to them. Most restaurant servers (except in
whole food restaurants) don't seem to know whether there's MSG in the food,
and most people don't have a clue that half the products on their kitchen
shelves contain it or hydrolyzed vegetable protein. "Of course there's no
MSG in my home made soup, made from scratch" - except for a couple of
bouillon cubes that is... I get very frustrated at the grocery store! Most
processed foods are off limits.

It is possible to live without processed foods. We do - not because of a
reaction to MSG specially but because I want only to eat good, true food.
Perhaps I go to extremes in some ways but I bet we enjoy our food far more
than those who eat off shelves.

I didn't even know MSG was still around ... but occasionally I read the
ingredients list on a grand child's soft drink bottle and wonder ...

The other day a friend brought me a box of Roses chocolates. It hasn't been
opened. I read the ingredients list.

Most of the time I don't want processed foods either, but there are
occasions when I would appreciate the convenience...
