BlankAt the risk of attracting the wrath of the off-topic police, April 1 is the Prime Day for Colleges and others who put out silly junk mails, worms and other disruptive stuff on the General Internet and Web Groups like this one, or to test their new harvester programs.
They don't actually READ Newsgroups so I can call them Knuckle Dragging N'er Do Wells and they'd never see that, but today is a First likely place where any Pranks could occur.
Watch for any Fake M.soft Updates, or other sites that require you to click to them to confirm something you never requested, a prize you never entered for, or mail from an 'anonymous friend'. If they are that anonymous you probably don't want their mails or attachments opened.
October 31 is No. 2 date of Preference at Troll Univ.
Hopefully they all stay away, so this message will then become Off Topic, but I already had 4 worms and 61 mails discarded at log on, compared to 1-2 and 25 at a normal day.
In other words, so long as you are using a Virus Scanner you should be able to access this group as though it were a Normal Day... Off to the Bureau of Silly Walks to see if I can get a Grant...
End off topic post. G.R./

That was supposed to be Plain Text Post.
Note to 'cats' --> HTML isn't usually used on Newsgroups for others who
might not have HTML-enabled servers.
(Since I had just come off reading cats post, message poster appeared to
auto pick up html, when I wanted Plain text. Hopefully This one is.) G.
FWIW *I got two Swen worms Right after posting above message, after 20
minutes of Clean Net use. //
BELOW should be in PLAIN TEXT (I hope) -->
