Been a while since I have been here. Have an AVM have known about it for
about 18 years and have had two siezures both when I wasn't taking medicine.
I take 400 mill of dilantin a day acutually one night 200 and the next night
300 and 100 in the mornings. Been very lucky. I still have wierd feelings
every once in a while. Sometimes every day and sometimes I will go for a few
weeks without the feeling coming on. The feelings are so hard to explain. I
can feel something coming on and I just have to deal with it

Does your doctor know about those feelings. What does your blood level show. I
mean, if your Dilantin is on the low side of therapeutic, they might have to
boost it. Have you noticed any association with certain activities that bring
on those feelings. I mean, even something that happened a couple of days
prior. You know, things like lack of sleep, drinking alcohol, maybe exposure to
something related to photosensitivity, and even your health.
I take Dilantin and generally have excellent control. The times I have not had
control have always been during times of some kind of health problem that causes
a prolonged temperature (even a very low elevation in temperature). My most
unusual health-related problem that caused breakthrough symptoms was an abscess
under a tooth, which I didn't feel at all (no pain at all although I ran a low
temperature). The day they did the surgery was the day my symptoms went away
(after four straight months of minor breakthrough symptoms). I have been told
by the doctor that I can boost my dose by 100 mg if I have health problems that
are causing problems.

my doctor adjusted my meds a few months ago.
