Hello,
I'm here hoping I can find some information. Last Friday night, I had a
seizure. I've never had a seizure before, and epilepsy does not run in my
family. Throughout the evening, I felt a strange dizziness that I usually
feel when I go extended periods of time without adequate sleep. On Friday,
I felt this most of the night. I remember feeling my neck muscles tighten,
and I found myself looking over my right shoulder. The next thing I know, I
am in the back of an ambulance, with a medic crew telling me I had a
seizure. My CT scan and chest x-ray did not show anything to be concerned
about. I am going to see a doctor tomorrow for a followup. My personal
thought is that this is caused by fatigue...any thoughts on this theory?

Fatigue is a known provocation factor in epilepsy; it can trigger a seizure.
However, let's not jump the gun yet because seizures can be due to things other
than epilepsy.

Fits can be triggered by many things, stress being one of them and your
fatigue might have been causing stress.

I feel the same way. When I am extremely fatigued I have a strange feeling come over me. I had one grand mal seizure in the past I feel was due to fatigue although doctors told me I had epilepsy. Your message was posted a while back. What did your doctor say? Do you have epilepsy?
