My neuro wants me to get another eeg. It's been years since I've had one but
he wants one to look for normal activity. I don't want to waist my time or
money. I've been doing good. I haven't had any seizures in a while. I'm only
on 400mg of Tegretol and seem to be doing good. I figure if it's not broken,
don't fix it. I would have to bring my 4 kids after school and sit with that
horrible glue for a half hour. Plus I'm nursing and the baby won't take a
bottle so I would have to worry about him. And it's 30 minutes away, with 4
kids in the car. What would you guys do?

At the end of the day, you know what's best for you. If it's not going to
achieve anything, why do it. That's just my opinion, Good luck to you.

Howdy Kerrie!

Even if you DON'T know what's good for you.

You have the final say!

If the doctor tells you what to do and you don't want to do it you can tell
the doctor to kiss off and get another doctor for yourself. (This usually
isn't a very smart move, but you are perfectly within your rights to do it.)

It's your body, you have the final word about what people are going to do
to/with it!

None of my business but I agree with you Kris, if it ain't broke don't fix
it.  It would be great if your eeg were normal but even if it were, with the
little ones still around the house why risk trying to go off your drugs
(unless you're having bad side affects).  If it were me, I'd wait until the
kids were a little older, but that's only the opinion of someone you don't
know and have  never met, so do what your head and your heart tell you and
never look back.  Good luck.

I wouldn't worry about it, you know what you need, and if you think it will
be of any real benefit to you then go ahead but it really is up to you.

but if it has been years, it sure wont hurt UNLESS it will Hurt your hip
pocket. you gotta watch some doctors, they like to order all sorts of tests,
as a way of getting you to spend needless money

Thanks, I think I will cancel. I don't see the point of doing it. Even if it
shows normal or abnormal activity it won't change anything that I'm doing.
Plus I really hate the glue. I'd rather go to the dentist if I'm going to
spend money on a Dr. I need a cleaning and it will benefit me more.
