My complex partial fits focus on my right hand and arm because it's damage
to the bit of my brain that's associated with that part of me that causes
the fits.
However, sleeping curled up with one's hands and arms held close to one's
chest is also regarded as returning to the foetal position - the posture
one has before being born - so it can just be a sign of feeling nervous.
Do you remember any dreams you were having just before waking up ?

No, I wasn't in the fetal position, It was my right hand and forearm which
contracted , the forearm forcing itself up to my chest. I was straight out
on my back. It seemed like a weird partial, since the right sided quaking
and shaking of my shoulder and latissimus dorsi is one of the typical
partials I get. To each his own partial seizure right? ;) Seriously,
though, I just needed to hear from someone who has had a similar seizure or
has heard of one.
