Hi there.

I work for the Independent in London at the moment, and am trying to
write an article on special needs provisions in schools - primarily
independent or private schools, as opposed to government maintained
ones.

I would like to hear from any parents of special needs children (in
the UK) that could give me an idea of how satisfactory special needs
provisions are in schools - either public or private institutions.

Are you happy with the care that your child has received? Unhappy?

Was it really hard to find a school that could provide for your child?
How helpful was the LEA in offering support?

Do you feel that there is a shortage of special needs provisions in
private/public education?

Is your child attending an ordinary school that has special needs
provisions, or a specialist school? And what made you choose this
school?

Any other opinions about this issue that you could give me, or
anecdotes you could relate that would lend my article colour, would be
much appreciated.

The best email address to contact me is: bep@euobs.com.

If you give me your number, I could call you and speak to you in
person, which is always better.

My deadline for completing the piece is late afternoon tomorrow, so
the sooner you could get back to me the better.

Many thanks in advance.
