Does a machine exist to quietly monitor brain function in a watch or walkman
style box?

Now that's what I call a brilliant idea Mike!  Think how much time that
would save at hospitals.  Time = money and perhaps more importantly, it
would give the consultants a far greater perspective and overall picture.
You ought to put this idea in the hands of some company or other with the
ability to produce.  I bet you a million pounds this very idea comes to
fruition within 5 years.  Well done!
I am so sorry about your recent seizures.  Has anything changed in your
lifestyle???

Funny that you should mention it. Come July 25th, I will be put on an
ambulatory EEG. I have no idea of the size or anything else about it
but for me, it is something I had hoped for. I've had seizures while
having a heart stress test and other monitoring tests with nothing
showing up. Its almost been like "Hey, I'm not lying here. This is
what's happening. Won't somebody believe me."

Sorry, no humor today, I'm just not in a funny mood. I could use a
hug.

I was connected to one about 14 years ago and it was the size
of a cigar box.  When I was back at the hospital about two
years later one of the techs showed me a newer one he built
with a company in California that was half the size.  They may
have still made smaller ones.

This was at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA.
