My mother has had seizures her whole life. Her neurologists just took her
off tegratol and switched to carbatrol. I was just wondering if anyone else
knows anything about this medication and its success rate compared to
tegratol.

g'day russ
i always thought that carbatrol was a generic form of tegretol making it a
cheaper option.

I have been on carbatrol for about 4 years and it has stopped my
Gran-mal seizures, but I still have other types of seizures. Hope this
will be of help
