Rakta Moksana: The last of the Panchakarma type of therapeutics is
'Rakta Mokshana', as the very name implies, removel of blood. In this
case efforts are directed towards removal of bad impure affected blood
by various means.
Some Ayuvedic texts, particularly, Shusruta Samhita, include rakta
moksana (blood-letting) as one of the Pancha karmas.

Indication of Rakta Mokshana : Skin diseases, Erysipelas, Boils and
carbuncles, Haemorrhagic diseases, Uterine bleeding, Ano rectal
inflammation, Penile inflammation, Stomatitis, Splenomegaly, Abdominal
swelling, Abscesses, Blue pigmentation, Jaundice, Pigmentations on the
face, A variety of moles, Ring worm, A type of eczema, Leucoderma
vitiligo, Scabies, Redpatches, Eye diseases, Foul smelling mouth,
Gingintivitis, Anxiety state, Haematuria, Gout, Discolouration,
Dyspepsia, Thirst, Heaviness in body, Fever, Weakness, Anorexia,
Headache, Burning sensation after meals, Neurasthenia, Anger,
Confusion, Saltish taste in the mouth, Sweating, Foul smelling body,
Alcoholism, Tremors, Aphonia, Excessive sleep, Drowsiness, Itching,
Allergy, A type of mole, Black pigmentation, Alopecia, Tumor, Body
ache, Redness of the skin, Red eyes, Haematuria, Piles.
