I took all my medication tonight, as usual. but with one addition. I went
back on the topamax to see if it would help with the seizure for the
upcoming move. better get it done early than late. I started hearing things.
I know I should call the doctor but the idiot hates me because I went to
another neurologist and the other one doens't take my insurance. I take
melatonin gabapentin vicodin and ibuprofen oh and tylenol pm. I have
horrible insomnia and headaches. any ideas?

I love deadlines. I especially love the wooshing sound they make as they go
flying by unnoticed. but then why don't they scream for attention until its
too late?

I think you're also experiencing what I simply call the "mind playing
games with my senses" problem. Your doctor probably has no idea what it
is anyway. I know, you know, and probably nearly every other person on
this newsgroup with epilepsy knows because we've experienced it!
Because we're all individuals, I suppose it too is also different and
individual for all of us. You started hearing things that weren't there
obviously, after taking topamax. I hear absent music in the background
that isn't there, play with giant real-life cartoon characters that
aren't there, feel invisible things choking me to death, again have
never existed all usually turn up after I've had several TC seizures in
a short space of time.
I think perhaps it's also the same thing that caused Joan of Arc and
others like her to believe that they actually saw God! Their mind was
playing some kind of trick, or game with their senses and kind of mixed
it all up and got it wrong somehow!
My personal after effects of this mind playing game usually disappear
within 1 week-1 month before I return to normal, but yours may vary
depending on how badly you're experiencing it. If it gets worse instead
of better though, or if you start having several TC seizures in small
bursts, then you really shouldn't delay in seeing your neuro'!
