On an older thread (yesterday) you said you used to do large murals
etc. I wondered if you're still able to do painting (regular size) ??
At one of the Toronto Canada Ep. Conventions, there was an auction
of several paintings that one of the members had done of landscapes
around southern Ontario, and those were excellent. They were Living
Room size (24x30 inch /60x75cm), and might be easier to handle.
I just wondered if pictures that were a more manageable size would
still be therapeutic for you, and still be attractive for others in
your area.
That assumes too, though, that you wouldn't be affected by e.g.
paint aroma (if there is any). Some types of Room Paint still give
me auras, as does strong bleach or lemon scents. I don't know if oil
paints have any of that to be concerned about or not. Gordon. /

I only live in a very small one-bedroom flat nowadays with hubby, so
paintwork would be far too messy for me. After giving up painting on
large walls though, today I still love drawing and sketching at home on
A3 drawing paper with professional colouring pencils to help my mind rest.
Hubby even framed and hanged up lovely pencil sketches of his portrait,
and my self-portrait that I did, and also a cute pic' of my late dog
Harry because we both loved him so much, so they can be very therapeutic.
If you go to my deviantArt gallery (URL at the bottom of this page),
you'll find some pix that I've done of characters from Futurama, and from
the author Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" fantasy novels - the gruesomely
cute Igor on the first page of my gallery is also framed and on my wall.
It was entered for last years best front programme 06 cover for the
Discworld Convention 06, but at least I got it back framed!

Why don't you start sketching then. You could very easily just buy a
cheap A4 pad, a pencil, rubber, and sharpener and doodle about in your
pad. Just doing cartoons in your pad of little things in your home, like
your kids, or pets and colouring them in - a lot of my characters are
completely sketched out from my imagination, and look nothing like who
they're meant to be - every artist has their own style of drawing, so it
doesn't have to be who it is!!
