Different drugs work for different people.
For some people "work" only means REDUCTION
and not TOTAL CONTROL.

It's a matter of trial and error.
If they can't find one drug that works, the next step is
to try a combination of different drugs.

When it is feasable, if drugs don't work the next step
is to try epilepsy surgery or an implant device.
(The implant is used in addition to drugs.)

I thought exacly this what You wrote.
I try many diffrent drugs. When one help me Grand mal, after a few
years I get bad side. After change, I haven't bad side but it help
less. I try this and other sort of principal component. After a few
time, I get petit mal too, so I get thirth drugs. And what do You
thinks, what next? Do You know those example?
I hear about surgery but because I have got Primary generalized too,
it will not to do.

You can try for surgery but...

If the part of your brain is not easily accessable they will not do it.
If you have epileptic activity on both sides of the brain they will not
do it.

I was disqualified because of activity in both temporal lobes.

Exaclly. We (two doctor who treatment me, and I) didn't know where is
main point? We also didn't know reason seizures. Neither grand nor
petit mal.
It's saddenly. I do sympathize. Do You have seizures? How many and
offen? So do You have Primary generalized like me? What sort of drugs
do You take? Is probably stop taking drugs in future in Your's
example?

Do you possibly mean the drugs that are also used for psychological therapy? For
one example, Tegretol and Depakote are used in the treatment of bipolar
disorder, not just only for epilepsy.

epi. I don't know but doctor told this, don't thought about
politheraphy, becouse I just take 3 sort of drugs (Lamitrin, Orfiril
and as helping in epi Frisium)
But meaby my doctor thought this what You wrote. I don't know.
