None of the symptoms you described above (where I put ***s) have
been associated with any of the ~5 main seizure types, so far as I
remember over last ~7 years here.
You could look down the U.S. Ep. Foundation site (below) at symptoms
for the main seizures, specifically at **Auras (simple partial seizures
where most of the **remembered symptoms occur), before a stronger szr.
happens.
Often when a Full Grand Mal, Complex Partial type seizure moves
into the intense phases, the patient won't *recall anything they said
or did from that point on. So your list above of various symptoms,
sensations etc. wouldn't be something *you'd remember at that point,
nor would they be behaviours that a witness would see happening to you
(popping noises, pinpricks, voices,etc.) .
For those reasons, I don't think what you described fall under the
main szr. types. But you could look through e.g. http://efa.org and
see if there are symptoms you can link to above if you'd like.
Others might have comments over next day or 2, as this is an
international group and about 10 timezones post here. It is also
year-end in many areas, so some people might be away soon, wrt.
replying to questions. fyi.
If you still thought some of above needed confirmation, a Doctor
could order an EEG although only a small proportion of the szr. types
show up on that type of test unless it was really uncontrolled. More
detailed tests are usually only done when symptoms become disruptive to
the point where the Doctors want to find if there are e.g. Brain Damage
or internal injuries that could progress to something more serious.
As I said above, most of the symptoms don't point to any of the main
szr. types. My non-medical opinion anyway, based on information
available there. G./

I would ask if this is a precursour to something more dramatic but by your
posting it doesn't seem to be. Whatever I have starts with a smell, stabbing
pain in my head, sleepiness, and then I remember very little else. So if its
a precursour, then I'd get it checked out. And even if its not epilepsy, get
it checked out as soon as possible. That's not normal, and I don't mean to
sound sharp but it does need to be looked at.

no ive never lost conciousness as i just have the pops in the head in full
waking conciousness as well as the mood episodes, they seem to be
tourettes's style tics comming from within my head, not that i show any
signs of tourettes
they are just popping sounds like clicks.

I don't have any first hand knowledge to apply to your situation, but if I were
in your shoes, I would be lobbying my doctor for a CT-Scan. A CT-Scan would
reveal any tumors, blood vessel irregularities, or other physical problems in
the brain. Best to rule out ny physical problems first. I also found an old
discussion of the identical problem, perhaps you were involved although I can't
tell. Read this one:

Everything I read about those is that they are very bad news. My own neurologist
offered to prescribe some for me when I mentioned my depression and I told him
no thanks and no way did I want to put yet another chemical into my body.

thanks for the link,
very interesting reading, my pops seem to originate from
the top middle part of my brain, around or behind the amygdala area.
i only get one at a time and not in sucession.
i may well organise a CT scan
