> are you talking to me ? im lost here

Apparently someone used an alias instead of a real email address to contact
the newsgroup... so when that person tried to send an email to that person
instead of replying to the newsgroup, the email bounced.  Many people use
aliases to prevent SPAM from newsgroups from flooding their real email
inbox.  For example "Salami Man@anon.com" is not my real email address.  :)

You might be new to this stuff, but your Post you did earlier (I
xx'd out your rant), will be Online to the whole World until after
sometime in 2009, and on Google until mid 2007.

You should take more care how you reply to International Usenet
Groups, especially when I opened your Access (anyone can do) and saw
that you only are posting onto about *3 groups, one of which is about
People Living with Epilepsy.
The 2 people who wanted to contact you about specific info. about
either seizure types or medications have been here a long time and are
not Trolls.

For what it's worth MY spamkiller deleted **107 mails this
morning-- that's UP from 60 earlier this week, and 25 on a normal
morning.
Being abusive to members who are trying to help you will only get
your Address 'killfiled' and you'll not receive any help from others
who post here only 2 or 3 days a week.  sbcglobal wouldn't approve of
it either, by the way.   *I can't even tell on that thread if they were
trying to help you or another poster (there were about 4 people on that
thread that started earlier this week).
Thank you for your consideration.   G./   (and it's spelled
solicit)

Hi - Please don't be sorry about your posting. But you didn't give any hint
about why you would like to talk off-group and most things can usually be
discussed in the group unless there is some really strong reason not to do so.
You've been speaking freely and openly elsewhere, so why not here also?  And
kudos for your shawl project! Grandmother taught you well and I'm sure you must
find it very fulfilling.

Hi.  I assume since she put his Webname in Subject line above, she
wanted him to write her off the group, as he might have an Anti-spam
ID.  (Many people do to avoid the flood from Asia and other places who
use Robo-Harvesters to get addresses to send useless junkmails to.)
If you have Option to **Sort this **Group messages by SUBJECT,  you
might find it easier to follow conversations so long as they don't
change the Subject line (like here).  That way if you click Reply to
Group, your reply will automatically appear indented under the
originating post that started that thread.
Usually the Sort by (date, author, subject line) is under the group
options when you come to the Group to read messages.   If you don't
like the ordering, or make a mistake, you can aways switch back to Sort
messages by Date, and it'll put everything Back where you were without
losing anything....   Unusual I know, but it's one of the Few options
I've found that keeps **all data** and doesn't blow up, when I tinker
with it.     Cheers,   G./

Never in person, of course, but you certainly must know who and where you gave
that information to. I'll explain further if needs be, but I think you can
figure it out on your own from what I just said.

To what purpose? It wasn't a bit amusing.
Salami Man - 02 Dec 2006 04:25 GMT
Far be it from me to sound overly cautious, but J. T. Laurie -is- or -was-
subscribed to such newsgroups as alt.suicide.holiday, alt.teens.lesbian,
alt.religion.pagan.texas, alt.sex.plushies, alt.vampyres, and
alt.wheel.of.time.  Do a newsgroup search for "J.T. Laurie" and "Watcher of
the Seals" if you don't believe me.

I'm afraid you're hauling sand to the beach and not using much discretion in the
process. :(

Sure, go ahead and meet someone in real life who posts on
alt.suicide.methods, of all places, have fun...  Just don't come back and
weep when you find out that this person is a nut.
Discretion is certainly something I have when it comes to meeting people
online (not even getting into the fact that they may clearly be SUICIDAL,
may have EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS, etc.)
Sand on your beach is the least of your worries, if you don't realize that
this person has somewhat suspicious subscriptions.

let me tell you something. Whatever newsgroups I do or do not frequent is
none of your flaming business. do you care to stay out of mine? Good.
Because I absolutely will not tolerate that.

What are you going to do, hon?  Go weep on your pagan newsgroups?  Or tell
someone else how to commit suicide?  O3H N03Z!  You're more emo than my
neighbors.

Admiral Stardust - 04 Dec 2006 19:13 GMT
what I am going to do is ask you to stop. I do not frequent any pagan
newsgroups, as they're dead. And whatever you do, kindly stay out of my
goddamned business! I'm trying to keep a fairly decent reputation but if you
keep it up I'll be truly alone. So for bloody pete's sake, stop it!

I'm going to ask nicely that you not repeat that. I hate people taking my
name, dammit, so don't do it!

What a noob.  You could have deleted all those messages yourself if
taylor-sedai@sbcglobal.net is your real email by going to
http://groups.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=8380 "How do I remove
my own posts?".  You can remove the messages because they are posted with
your own email address, idiot.

Strange you didn't mention the fact that any number of news services have all
those messages still available and nothing that you do on Google will change a
bit of that. Maybe she knew that, although you obviously didn't. Maybe you're
the idiot?
