But does it work?   If it doesn't or you haven't got to a stable
dose yet (can take 3-8 weeks),  it can take that long to balance levels
in your blood.    It's usually prescribed first as the oldest, longest
studied and **cheapest anti ep drug (AED)  and if it's not working you
should contact the Dr. who prescribed it and they'll move you up to
some of the stronger stuff we use here (many of us).

Then you'll be **back and need input about what to watch for or side
effects you might encounter with them.   People who remember your
earlier post will not reply to you since they might think you're a
phisher or a troll,   and you'll not have a support site to get help
on.    Just so ya know.

Did you know that messages from Gmail will be linked to mhurle etc. on
gmail in 2030 ??  when you're a grandparent and they'll want to know
what that was about? G./

Howdy Matt!

Hmmm... very cryptic indeed!

That could mean anything from:

It doesn't decrease seizure activity to

You can't afford it to

You don't like going to the dentist every 6 months to
get your gums cut back!

Folks, Dilantin has been around so long that the price is affordable even if
you don't use the generic medicine.  It's like 24 dollars a month, even if
you don't have insurance.  That's why doctors try Dilantin first, even while
testing other medicines to stabilize your seizures.  Yes, the side effect of
Dilantin is usually depression and/or irritated gums, as was mentioned by
another post.  (My gums are inflamed and I don't necessary feel "happy
happy" taking Dilantin.)

Hi Matt - as a fellow fairly dissatisfied consumer of Dilantin, I would
appreciate it if you would back up your emotions with the causes
of your outburst.  I hope things improve for you.    Tim

I have been using dilantin for over 20 years and it has done good for me. I
have no side effects that I know of. I still have aura's from time to time
but I have learned to deal with them
