I have read info on Tessinaris Synodrome I agree that my child has
everything escept the learning dissability. The seizure types match,
the most common time of seizure, the EEG MRI, both during the day
normal, we have been asking for a 24 hr evealuation, But everything the
info I read is what happens and I am sure it is the type of seizures
she has, But it is a rare type of epilepsy. If your child or if you
know something or someone with ESES i would love to hear from you?????

I hate to ask, but are you sure you've spelt "Tessinaris", correctly? It's
just that I can't find it, or any kind of epilepsy anything like it either
on any site on my google , or any of my epilepsy encyclopaedia's. Not just
that, but I couldn't find anything with the initials ESES either.

Is there any info on this type of epilepsy perhaps, and we just may know
it by a different name. If so, could you please let us know about it?

I found CSWS and ESES, but was also unable to find "Tessinaris":
Electrical Status Epilepticus during Slow Sleep (ESES)
Continuous Spikes and Waves during Slow sleep (CSWS)

Hi Salami Man, I think you've cracked it! In the article you sent, there
was a bit about a paediatric neurology series edited by three four people
including somebody called C.A.Tassinari - perhaps this is who applez is
looking to find.

All the best

Sofie

You've got a real sharp eye, Sofia, and that must be the one!

"Definition of Tassinari syndrome

Tassinari syndrome: A form of epilepsy associated with language difficulties.
The syndrome surfaces around the age of four with receptive or expressive
dysphasia and slowed learning. There may be absence, myoclonic, or focal
seizures. The cause of the syndrome is unknown. Treatment is with seizure
medications. The condition usually improves by adulthood.

Also called CSWS (Continuous Spike Waves of Slow Sleep)."
