My wife has had seizures for years and she been under VNS therapy since
early this year.
Have any of you women who have epilepsy also have some bladder control
issues?
We wonder if there is a neurological reason for poor bladder control. The
Dr really doesn't seem to know.

Is she still having seizures?  If you see one of Julie's posts with the
Idaho Website, the first aid chart lists which types can have that as a
side effect, when it generalizes or the person loses consciousness.
There might also be something under U.S. Ep. association site--
http://efa.org .
The *Doctor should know that as possible side effect of some szr.
types (your comment). G./

I often "pee in my pants", especially when having a nighttime seizure.
This is quite common as far as I know.  It is not related to gender.

Although female, I agree it can happen to the best of us, whatever gender.
Personally, I don't just lose control of my bladder when I'm completely
unconscious, I've also had a several simple absence partials whilst
walking down the street, or in the supermarket, and when I re-awake hubby
and me always have to do a runner to get away from prying eyes of the
puddle beneath my feet. :-)

All the best
