In the US, the best bet is probably Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston?).
The world premiere hospital for research and surgery is the University of
McGill's Montreal Neurological Institute, founded and directed by an ex-patriate
American, Wilder Penfield, in the 1930's. These are questions you should be
asking your personal physicians/neurologists; the Net is a false gamble because
it is a place prone to opinion, rather than hard fact, so anyone and everyone on
this or any other list will have their personal preferences. I list the one's I
did not from my own experience, but purely by reputation and reported peer
results. Any neurologist worth their stethoscope will tell you something
similar about both places.

I had my successful surgery at Mass General. My neurosurgeon Rees
Cosgrove trained at McGill.

I haven't been either place but I can say by experience the best in southern
California is both Kaiser Permanente (Dr Richard Kim) and USC (Dr Chris DeGiorgio).

Howdy!
I would suggest that you take a look at the following site:
FIND AN EPILEPSY CENTER
http://www.naecepilepsy.org/centers/centers.html
It doesn't list them all, just members of NAEC
(National Ass'n. of Epilepsy Centers.)

I have had excellent experiences with the following teams:
http://www.mtnneuro.com/neurosurgery.html
http://www.ashneuro.com/
I have no complaints with these teams. However, if you are going to do
surgery, neurological treatment, etc., you probably want to find something
closer to home... (IMHO)

The June 17rth edition of US News and World Reports has their annual
best hopitals
in America report. The exhaustive study reports the Mayo clinic as
number 1 in
Neurology. That's where I would go.
