During the one and a half year I´ve been using Trileptal oxcarbazepine,
my dreaming (at nighttime ;-) ) has increased almost absurdly.

Prolonged and more frequent dreams during a nights sleep,
but no change in the "contents" or "subjects" of the dreams as such,
compared to my pre-medication period.

If I wake up 2 times a night, I can expect 3 intensive dreams during the
night.
Is that just to be expected or to be decreasing with time ?

Regards
Pete

I had thought that we only remember our dreams if we *wake up during
the REM sleep when they occur ?
Most nights I don't remember any, but usually nights where I'm more
restless I recall 1 or 2.
If you recall more dreams could that be that you're actually waking
up more often than you realize?    Just wondered.   G./

I usually wake up 1-2 times a night, just as before starting with
epilepsy medicine. But WHEN during the sleep that happens,
I don´t know.  Seems to be no change in that pattern, anyhow.
I also more often find myself sweating during sleep.
Perhaps these things are related somehow.

During the awake-hours, how often do you find yourself
tired some 1-2 hours after taking the pills ?
During busy times in daylight it can be "ignored",
while "placing myself idle on the couch under artificial light"
makes me fald asleep almost instantly in those periods.

Regards.

None (how many times I find myself tired 1-2 hours **after taking the
pills).
The Tegretol I use, and the Frisium both say to use it with Milk,
Food or Juice.  I take the Tegretol and 1 Fris. in AM with breakfast,
after juice, and the night dose 1-2 hours before I retire, with Juice.
If I get tired during the day, it seems to often occur between 1 and 3
pm more an 5 hours after the pills.   If I'm out, I don't notice being
over-tired during the day, but might be after dinner (7-830pm).
In other words I don't seem to get a correlation between Time I
injest them and being tired, but there might be e.g. a relation about
time the chemicals from them *enter the Kidneys or Liver?   I'm not a
Dr. so don't know how long a pill takes to move from Mouth to there...
