Currently, I'm incredibly lucky. I do remote technical support for a
computer company. Thus the problem not driving effects everything
outside of work.
However, these positions are all being OffShored, and we are told to
find other positions within or outside the company. As such, that
presents a real issue for me.
What about disability and seizure disorder?
Much thanks.

You can try, but be prepared to spend a long time and a lot of $$ to
probably be disappointed. I know someone who's been waiting two years for an
appeal to SSI. And there's always the attorney fees to consider.

I wondered if that might be something their local Ep. Association can
(should) help with? I think Howdy posted about 2+ years ago that often
the first application is turned down, and it might take 2-3 with
addition Dr. forms? to get approved. (I don't live in the U.S. so am
paraphrasing what was posted at that time.)
If the Ep. people had their own Legal people that would avoid any
extra expenses? If it doesn't, in some Jurisdictions, Legal fees etc.
might be Deductible from any Awards you finally got, before taxes are
calculated. G./

SSI attorneys work on a contigency basis. If you don't win, they don't
get paid.

But since once/if you are accepted into SSI, you will get a check retro-active
from the first date you contacted them about receiving disability.
