In that I have had seizures since 15 and am now 65, it has been most of
my life.
Life happens and it is okay.

After our daughter was born: I refer to her as my miracle baby.  After
she was born I was seizure free.   Something to do with Neurochemistry
in the brain.
Of course I see my Neurologist and have my EEG yearly, and am on meds.

When our children went back to school I did as well.  Always had an
interest in dogs and dog training. My husband encouraged me to attend
Cornell where I received a degree in Solving Canine Behavior Problems.

It was an interesting set up volunteering my time with the local
S.P.C.A. in our area, I worked with a man who knew so much.  But have
not as yet met anyone who trains seizure dogs.

I was just wondering if anyone does have a seizure dog and where did
you find your companion.

Thanks a bunch.

Have you tried contacting a Local Chapter of an Epilepsy Association?
I saw a Demo about 5 years ago of a woman who trained them north of
Toronto Canada.  She also trained some to assist with other conditions.
There are only? 2 or 3 breeds that lend themselves to easier training
at this one school.  One would wait a period and if the person didn't
recover would rap a wall button to summon help.
They wear a special vest so can be taken shopping and wherever a
seeing-eye dog can go.  G./

Will contact Cornell Univ.  See if they know.  Thanks.  : )

I  don't need one, but would love to help train them.

I love dogs and understand their pack theory.  There is much on line I
shall look into.
Thanks for your encouragement.  It is a blast to help  out and I would
do it for free.

Well - maybe.  ;-}
