Does anyone have any experience with weight loss after a Depakote ER
dosage being lower by just 250 m.g. per day? I take two separate
medications that can result in weight gain, so my neurologist is trying
to help me shed a few pounds by lowering my Depakote ER dosage. I've
been taking 2 grams a day for four years, seizure free, so I'm down to
1750 m.g. a day to see if it will help. Anyone have any experience?
Thanks, Jim

Howdy Jim!

One of the side effects of Depakote is WEIGHT GAIN so I wouldn't be
surprised if one experienced weight loss when they reduced their dosage
or eleminated it from their regime of drugs.
