Has anyone had one of these and was it conclusive?

My son has had 2 AEEG. For him they were not conclusive, but he also
did not have a seizure while hooked up. His EEG is normal in between
seizures (Interictally).

It can be very helpful, especially if you have frequent seizures that
can be captured in a day or two.

He was able to cover up the Electrodes and wrap with a loose Knit cap
and hide the wire under his coat. The pack was not that big and could
look like a walkman or somethng

Hope you can find answers with your AEEG

There were some others here who had one.  Only one has replied so far.
Those are usually used for hard to find szrs. that might not occur on a
standard EEG. By being in hospital, and wired up for 2-3? days, there's
higher chance of *maybe catching 1-2 events that measure waves during
onset.
As another poster has said, yesterday, it has to see the event when
it happens. If someone has infrequent or elusive seizure events, then
it's not going to spot  something that's not happening.  IF it happens,
and they get a good set of readings, they probably can determine the
type of szrs. and thus decide type of meds. and if any would help
control it.   G./
