How many of you became photosensitive in adulthood?  According to this
one excellent website someone recently posted, age of onset is before
adulthood.  I was in my mid-forties when I first experienced a problem.

I had some episodes of photosensitivity as a child but had no idea
what it was. It wasn't until I had my first tonic-clonic seizure at
age 46 (sitting in front of a computer monitor) that I found out.

Hi Elsea, I don't recall any problems with photosentivity untill I was in
my 30s.  We took our kids to Disneyland and the first thing we went to was
called the Tiki Hut.  We sat down to view a presentation that included alot
of flashing lights.  I started to get the sick feeling in my stomach and
dejavu.  It ruined the rest of our vacation :-(

Take care,
Julie

Howdy, everyone.

I'm late to the photo sensitivity party, but I hope my contribution is
welcomed anyway.

I found I was photosensitive as an adult as well.  For the most part,
epilepsy in general was adult-onset for

me.  Good to know, Bewildered, that I'm not alone in being
photosensitive in front of a

computer monitor.  I had heard of it being a problem for teenagers
playing video games, and for me

it has been a matter of managing the amount of time I can be in front of
a monitor.  This has been

and is difficult for me because it involves a career change which is
ongoing.

I also had a strange experience last year with fluorescent lights in a
classroom, which caused at

least one seizure for me.  Luckily all of my Ss are relatively mild and
take place only in the middle of the night.

All the best,

clyde
