Most of you know I have posted here a few times. Our daughter is now
almost 6 months old. She has been having various types of seizures since
birth and is on Phenobarbital, which has not yet controlled the
seizures. Over the past couple of weeks she has had seizures that start
out the same as always, but then she goes into this totally 'spaced out"
state for almost ten minutes sometimes her eybrows and fist twitch very
slightly, and then she jumps and smile and snaps out of it. She does not
so this every time, she has done it 4-5 times total. She mostly has
seizures right after she falls asleep. her head turns to the left and
her right arm goes out to the side, her eyes cut sharply to the left and
start to water, she holds her breath for a few seconds then takes a deep
labored breath. It is always just a few minutes after she falls asleep.
Anyway, I am trying to figure out what these types of seizures are
called. If anyone has any ideas or info I would appreciate it!

Did they ever do an EKG (Electrocardiogram)  that checks for erratic
heart rate?  Since I've only had seizures from the Inside, I only recognize
any symptoms others post from the inside.  But I wondered if something
'cardio' , or related to erratic breathing even, might produce symptoms that
we're trying to find elsewhere.   G./
