Hello all,
Maybe you guys remember me somehow. Satch was my nickname; Marco is my real
name. I am based in The Netherlands, Europe. Anyway, my life has changed a
lot since I had my first and last tonic-clonic seizure on Saturday, February
14, 2004. I am still doing well and I am still using 1000 mg of Depakine
Crono (Depakote / Depakene as it is named in your country probably).
I just wanted to let you all know that I am still happy I joined this
support group and I am still doing great at the moment. Looking back at my
first posting, I can assure you I do not ask questions like this anymore
(reading this back in a moment of silence with a smile on my face):

Onderwerp: Question regarding seasickness and epileptic seazures

Hello,
Does someone know if 16 hours on a boat on the Northsea (minicruise) can
cause epileptic seazures?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Marco
The Netherlands
Epilepsy seems to be under control for me at the moment. However, a terrible
dissease has hit my family: intestinal cancer had been reported at my
brother at the age of 34. After surgery, he is clean again. Hopefully he
will stay clean. They did a check up for me as well aas I am first line
family member nd at present, they found nothing which is good.
I truly hope that someone out there who is suffering from eplilepsy as well
can get hope out of my posting. Sometimes, it goes well. Changing your life
style -in my case "no binge drinking with my friends anymore", trying to get
rid of sleep (trying because it is not always posible) and trying to avoid
stress (not always possible as well, so trying the utmost), helped me to not
have anymore seizures.
Cheers and thanks again for helping me out last year.

I still have your Subfolder here under my main alt.support Folder. Must
have been Deja Vu :-> I thought you'd be back. Now you can come in from
time to time and help some of the newbies. Success stories are useful for
them, when they think the world has just ended. (The world does not end
until the Chocolate runs out... ) I'm glad you're still doing well, too.

What a beautiful little quote that is Gordon, I just wrote to say how
much I love and agree with it.
As I'm pretty new to this newsgroup myself, I obviously don't remember you
Marco, but as I've had so many different types of seizures, for over
30years now, and have tried nearly every drug going, it's a breath of
fresh air to hear somebody say they've had a success story.
All the best
Sofie
