I "saw the light" (after reading Old Al, other posters and Medscape) over a
year ago, and did add Lantus then Novorapid to my existing oral meds. It
brought my HbA1c down from the high 6s to below 6.

It does, however, require some strict discipline from the user as to the
dosage, diet and exercise.
