All of us hope that our initial diagnosis is wrong.

Then we look for a miracle.

Exploiters and dreamers pickup on every bit
of PR and pop mechanics items and try to make
them real.

Well,  fiends that did me no good.  I am over the 30 year
mark and very old.    Now I know the Pharma blurbs are
mostly crap
.
When you settle down and find the nature of your
"diabetes", then deal with it with what we have,
will we get the most out of the knowledge available.

A few of the fads can kill you or make your life more
miserable.  Some will defend the quirks to the end.

So much bull sh.t is out there from self appointed experts and
money thieves.

There is good info on the MHD FAQ's and on the NIH sites.
They have no axe to grind

Then you look at posted experiences and sort them out.

I see too much of "beam me up"

Dreaming never helped me.  Real facts has made my life
bearable.  I live in the world of clinical
diabetes and exotic explanations are nice to read but
do nothing for my diabetes.  I have
to deal with it daily with a practical approach.

A lot of "big Pharms" do not care if you live or not.
They are in a business with great profits possible.

Settle down and deal with your problem with a bit of sense.

Guy,

I have always found your philosophical interpretations most enlightening.

This post of yours is a good example. It is something every newby should
read and interpret correctly before setting out on the long haul of managing
their diabetes. Not only diabetes, but many other predicaments we come
across in our lifetimes.

I have now lost count of how many of your posts such as this I have
archived, as being quite memorable.
