Dear Friends,
This morning in the Arizona Republic newspaper, Dr. Andrew Weil wrote
about the study of the use of cinnamon in the treatment of Type II diabetes.
He was fairly non-commital in his article -- stating that 'more study'
is needed.
Has anyone here been following latest developments in cinnamon use ??
TIA,

I haven't been following it because I tried it a few years back and it
raised my BG to unacceptable levels. I should add that I also have
Fibromyalgia. We used to have another poster here who also has Fibro. and
the same thing happened to her. When you have Fibro., you can have odd
reactions to things. I also found that I had the constant taste of cinnamon
in my mouth after a while and I didn't like that. I was glad to quit taking
it!

Most of the observations here over a lot of years have been: no help,
little help, we like the taste, no opinion either way. Like me - no
effect on diabetes but I like a piece of cinnamon stick in my instant
coffee.
Nan, Type 2 since 1990.

Julie and Nan,
Thanks for your opinions.
Anyway, while you were replying, I went out to WalMart and bought 3
bottles of cinnamon capsules (500mg and 100 capsules per bottle). Bottles
cost $4.76 each.
Question: Since I'm going to give the cinnamon a trial run -- when is the
*best* time of day to take the cinnamon capsule(s) ?
Thanks again for your replies.
