I thought this was interesting today: FDA News Digest January 12, 2004 ______________________________________________________________ California Man Indicted for Selling Counterfeit Viagra A grand jury has indicted a man in California on charges of trafficking in counterfeit Viagra tablets manufactured in China. The three-count indictment alleges that the man conspired with a Beijing supplier to import at least 40,000 fake Viagra tablets into the United States. The charges carry a maximum possible penalty of 18 years in prison and a fine of more than $2 million. http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2004/doj0109.html ______________________________________________________________ And the FDA is worried about inexpensive Canadian drug imports? This is the reason I do not consider it wise to buy your essential drugs from an unknown source, Of course we have seen hearings where the drug executives use scare tactics to preserve their profits, Ever been between a hard place an a rock.
