Remember though, that DP can hit an hour or so AFTER youo've woken up and
begun shuffling around. At least that's the case with moi.
I can wake up with a BG of (say) 5 and within an hour it can have doubled.
Strange as this desease is though, it doesn't even TRY to climb if I shoot
just 2u's of Humalog "first thing".

Indeed, but....... check again after you've been up a short while before
getting giddy:-)

If I don't eat, it keeps on going (kept? : ) - but I need to take thyroid
meds and then eat fairly quickly after that, so unless it's a vampire day it
doesn't get a chance.
5.7 last night, 5.4 this morning : )

Ooops... how soon after taking thyroxine do you eat? I must have
missed that on the instructions and I've taken the strips out of the
box and thrown the box away.
I get up and wolf down 6 pills and a potion. 2 of the pills are
Thyroxine 25 msg and 50 msg. The Perindopril for the BP says "take
half or one hour before eating" the potion says "take 20 mins to half
an hour before eating". I then go off and shower and blow dry hair,
dress, make up etc and then eat breakfast so it's actually probably 40
mins between taking the pills and eating! Is this a problem? It
seems to be the only way I can remember to take all the blessed pills!
If I start staggering the times I know I'll forget something!

No, I think that's fine - I haven't got the instructions in this current box
either, but I'm sure it was "within an hour" for the thyroxine!

Just had a look at my thyroxine box (100 mcg) instructions - "it is
recommended that the tablets are taken before meals, once a day". Doesn't
say anything about timing. I've been taking them for 6 years without any
problem.

There was a report out several months ago - maybe longer - when they took a
bunch of OAPs in a home and played games with their thyroid meds to see if
it made any difference, poor old souls! The bottom line was that so long as
you're consistent, it doesn't matter.
