I know the feeling. My best links also are dead.
Even the pro's have problems. The CDE at my last Type 1 Support Group
meeting made a similar complaint. She actually called the Manufacturers
asking for better data and got stone walled.
The consensus of the folks in our Support Group meeting was that this is a
lawyer problem, and, unfortunately, it makes a lot of sense. Insulin
absorbence rates vary strongly from person to person, sometimes even from
day to day in the same person. Publishing some sort of Standard Activity
can get you into trouble.
e.g. see:
http://www.zoomph.net/diabetes.world/IPlot.htm
It looks like the lawyers just killed that part of the site.
Anyway, here are the sites I use:
Lilly Humalog vs Regular
http://www.zoomph.net/diabetes.world/HvsR.htm
Humalog vs Novolog
http://care.diabetesjournals.org/cgi/reprint/25/11/2053.pdf
Humalog + NPH, Humalog + Ultralente
http://www.zoomph.net/diabetes.world/mixed.htm
Some Lantus curves
http://www.lantus.com/professional/lantusvsnph/index.jsp?id=12
http://members.tripod.com/diabetics_world/lantus_activity_curve.htm
Info on Insulin Detemir (Insulin Levemir), the new insulin from Novo is
hard to find. AFAIK, it has an activity curve about the same as
Ultralente but is advertised (bragged about by the manufacturer) to have
extraordinary reproducibility from dose to dose and patient to patient.

That's good info AL. That is why I eat dinner at 5:00 PM.
The Humalog has peaked and I check myself before taking
the Lantus at 8:00 PM to see if I need a snack or more Humalog. It works
well
for me.
