> Whar's the best beers for people with diabetes?
West Malle Triple
or infact any triple fermented beer
It has no carbohydrates left because of the triple fermentation. All
carbohydrates are used up by the yeast and handed over to you as alcohol.A
brilliant deal for T2.I tested them, none gave me a bg spike.Infact they
_All_ lowered by bg ... :)
Next, all Belgian Trapists special beers have a much better taste than all
those new "light" beers which do contain a lot of carbs.
Next, men who drink light beer don't like beer, they like pissing

I stick to normal traditional beers; not low-carb or low-alcohol. My
preference is a good stout such as Murphy's in Eire or Guinness here.
The difference as a type 2 diabetic is that I only have one or two
medium glasses and I drink that between meals, away from ingestion of
other forms of carb.
On carbs, our beer-makers here are offering aid to the Americans at
the moment: http://tinyurl.com/l6ms44
This is more like Oz reality: http://tinyurl.com/knoo6k
(the truckie is reality:-)
Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

LOL Well said Gys,
While I shy away from alcohol I must remember this for when I go out.
Order the triple fermented beer with good reason.
Thanks

I've not done an exhaustive test, but Steel Reserve seems OK for me.

I can't stand the taste of light beer. I'd rather have a Belgian Ommegang
or a Guinness Stout once every month or two and really enjoy it.
