Replacing atenolol with Coreg

For those of us who need to take a beta blocker atenolol is not the best
choice. Most beta-blockers raise BG levels.

Has anyone here tried Coreg. This is a new beta-blocker that promises
not to raise BG levels.

I would love to hear from anyone's experience.

I'm using coreg and having a roller coaster ride on BG control. The latest
is to add a chromium supplement.

So John,

Did you previously use another beta blocker? Did Coreg make things worse?

Are you sure that is the cause of your BG problems? Have you examined
your menu using post-meal testing? Read these two links to see what I

I used COREG until a generic, CARVEDILOL, replaced it. Both Coreg and the
much less expennsive Carvedilol have kept my BP in acceptable limits and
neither has had much if any affect on my BG.
