That's the main reason why I quit taking Byetta......not just a little
nauseous...but feeling very unwell, all I could do is lay down and try to
sleep ...it was awful.....I was really hoping I could stay on it but there
was no way...and that was just on 5 mgs.

I take Januvia (once-a-day pill), which is also for pp help, and have had
success & no problems with it after 2-1/2 years.
Have you considered trying it?

I talked to my last Dr about it and she wanted to wait, because on Metformin
alone I was getting AIC's at 6.1 ..I have a new Dr now...Think I will bring
it up to her...I am happier when my A1C is in the mid 5's :)

A very different attitude from my endo. Even though I was in normal A1c
range (hi-5s or so), and neither of us was unhappy with it, she had no
problem with prescribing Prandin when I asked for something for pp
control -- 'cause I was so damn tired of doing the routine I had to do to
keep my numbers in line. She saw the "quality of life" issue -- and I was
also doing all the other hard work of exercise, weight control, etc.
After I did a few years on Prandin, she suggested switching to the
then-pretty-new Januvia as being more convenient & less likely to cause hypo
or heading-for-hypo problems.
Glad I don't have doctors who wait until something gets "bad enough" before
allowing or urging action or change in medication.

Thanks Jacquie for responding. I thought no one else was in my
situation. I couldnt bear even the 5 mcgs . It is so wonderful to not
walk around nauseous. I am having rouble with my dawn phenomen but my
numbers during the day are great. I am now splitting my glumesta into
two doses , two pills after breakfast and two after dinner. I will
admit I am hungrier than when on it I guess that was the nausea,
I am done with it
