I am up to 68 units of Lantus nightly. Oddly my lowest numbers are coming
right before I shoot the Lantus and also when I wake in the morning. Most
of the time I am still too high after breakfast, but today I was fine after
lunch (taco salad but only ate a small piece of the shell).
My oddly high numbers recently could well have been from my illness. Angela
became sick about 2 1/2 weeks ago. It started with a cough and sore throat.
I got it the next day. Hers turned into what seemed to be a cold, but mine
didn't. Stayed with the cough and sore throat. We finally went to the Dr.
today after she complained of her ears hurting and complained about hearing
me cough so much. A few times I coughed so much I threw up. Not fun!
We are both on different antibiotics now, so hopefully I'll get better.

Get well soon! And of course better control means more resources
available to fight off whatever nasties are out there, so here's
hoping it's a virtuous circle!

So glad to hear it, Julie! I wonder if you've been fighting this infection
far longer than you realized?

I don't think so.
